[SDCC] Gameplay Trailer Revealed for Metroid: Other M

Just under 8 minutes of unedited gameplay footage...

An unedited video demoing gameplay from the upcoming Nintendo title, Metroid: Other M, has been released. The video features a bit of Samus-style storytelling, as well as gameplay from both the platforming and FPS viewpoints.

Seriously? It looks like they're trying to merge the 2D and 3D Metroids in the failingest way possible. I was really looking forward to this game, but that just looked bad. Hopefully I'm wrong and the final product is better...

I'm not hugely impressed, but it looks like the sort of thing that maybe you need to play it not watch it. I'm still looking forward to it.

That looks fine to me. It's an intro level, so it's not going to be super exciting.
